A long standing establishment, Dignity Dragon Chinese restaurant in Placerville has stood the test of time by continuing to serve up an extensive list of classic Chinese dishes, while expanding their offering of choices to satisfy the bug for variety.

Along with their list of traditional Chinese fare influenced by many regions from across that nation, Dignity Dragon also recently added a Mongolian BBQ bar to their repertoire.

Dignity Dragon has been a family favorite for years and upon a recent visit, they again served up a spread of favorites and a couple new dishes to add to our list. We started off the evening with their War Wonton Soup, stacked with veggies, pork, shrimp, chicken and those great wonton dumplings, all in a light chicken broth. Our kids were all over the Sesame Beef and House Fried Rice, while I enjoyed the sweet and spicy flavors of the Orange Chicken. My wife ordered her favorite – a house special – Honey Walnut Shrimp, which is a batter-fried shrimp in a creamy, mildly sweet sauce, tossed with candied walnuts. Needless to say, she had to fight off the kids to keep the shrimp on her plate.

Dignity Dragon offers everything but their Mongolian BBQ for take-out, so stopping in on the way home is an added convenience. With their friendly service and a menu full of great Chinese food, Dignity Dragon continues to bring satisfying Asian cuisine to the area.
