For someone who has only lived in Roseville for eight years, Ann Diamondstone has managed to dive into the community whole-heartedly.

“What I love about Roseville is the real sense of community,” she says. “Everybody knows each other and gets involved. You don’t find that everywhere. When I had surgery a few years back, people came and stayed with me while my husband went off to work. We’re from Back East and people cared, but it’s different here.”

In her position as Vice President/Business Services Officer of Roseville’s First Northern Bank, one could imagine Diamondstone easily getting caught up in the business of selling her bank, but her friendly personality and modest demeanor show that she is a relationship-builder and a person genuinely interested in helping others. “I’m not very good at Twitter and [the] Internet, etc., because to me it’s more about the relationships. The face-to-face involvement with others is what it’s all about for me.”

As the recipient of several local prestigious honors, such as the Roseville Chamber’s Athena Award, and Volunteer of the Year, and as an active participant in various local organizations such as Roseville’s Growth Management Visioning Committee and the Keaton Raphael Memorial, it seems obvious that Diamondstone doesn’t believe in just living or working somewhere. Instead, she is fully committed to becoming a part of the place in which she resides.
