Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

As an educational psychologist, I have worked with educators, parents and teachers for the last 14 years. I thought it was time to link these amazing resources and respected professionals together online for today’s busy parents, to whom we provide easily accessible education and resources. This includes online classes from national speakers, and phone therapy from licensed professionals.

What was your first job, and what did you learn from the experience?

I worked as a lifeguard at the local pool. I learned that you have to pay attention in the moment – it can make a huge difference in the outcome.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Having my two wonderful children, ages 5 and 8. Every day they teach me about what’s important in life.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

Oprah Winfrey – she’s approachable, ambitious and professional, all at the same time.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Akebono – my husband and I are big sushi fans.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Folsom Zoo, Funderland, Sacramento Zoo, Folsom Lake and NuYo Frozen Yogurt.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

Playing at the local “kiddie” park in Nebraska. I could run to any friend’s house and we’d just go across the street to the park – even in the snow!

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

I’d love to meet Benjamin Franklin. He left such an amazing legacy of political and scientific achievements. He’s a great example of tenacity – I truly admire someone who can make so much happen.

And finally, customer service is…?

Listening to the customer and going beyond what’s expected.
