We Tried It...its-laS-tik Bag

It seems that every retailer is carrying their version of a “green” tote or shopping bag.

Most are substantial and made of recycled materials. Few, however, are stylish and compact. I recently tried an “its-laS-tik” bag for my everyday toting and shopping, and I love it! First of all, it’s shiny, and what girl doesn’t love a little glitz? Being eco-friendly does not mean sacrificing fashion for function. The stretchy tote holds more items than I expected, without weighing me down. It bounces as you move, and items don’t seem heavy. its-laS-tik bags come in metallics and prints, and the line also offers small wristlet pouches to carry makeup, accessories and anything else you can imagine. Made and recycled in the United States, its-laS-tik bags are manufactured in New Orleans, in a factory destroyed by hurricane Katrina, and rebuilt by survivors. Five percent of profits are donated to New Orleans non-profit, Hope House, a program that provides emergency rent, food and shelter assistance, after-school youth and adult learning programs.
