What's Happening in Folsom and El Dorado Hills!

Enjoy an evening of laughter at the weekly comedy open mic every Monday night at Po’ Boyz Bar and Grill. Located in Folsom at 9580 Oak Avenue Parkway, stop by to see headliners and up-and-comers, and if stand-up is something you want to try, just arrive early to sign up.

Did you enjoy Chicago – The Musical on the big screen? If so, come see the live reenactment this month! Chicago – The Musical is coming to the Sacramento Theatre Company. Call 916 443-6722 for details.

The anticipated Walt Disney flick Alice & Wonderland directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp will be released March 5. Grab friends and family and head down to Folsom’s Palladio 16 to capture the newest version of this famous childhood story on the big screen.

Style commends area nonprofit, Grace Foundation, for providing care to the Folsom Police Mounted Patrol unit.

We also congratulate five members of Vista Del Lago High School’s first graduating class that have committed to college athletics programs. Megan Heddinger is headed to Cal Poly for soccer, Doug Drakeley will play football at UC Davis and Marques White at Sacramento State, and swimmer Josh Choi will attend Notre Dame and Dallin Johnson will swim at BYU.

We also applaud El Dorado Hills native and Indianapolis Colts player, Austin Collie, for making it to Super Bowl XLIV this year!

Style welcomes the area’s latest dining establishment, Relish Burger Bar, which will also serve specialty martinis, located in Montano de El Dorado at the corner of White Rock and Latrobe Roads in El Dorado Hills.

Need a little motivation to keep up with your New Year’s health resolutions? Join the Folsom Women’s Connection at their Brunch on March 10 at Sudwerk Riverside Restaurant and Brewhouse in Folsom from 9-11 a.m. Personal trainer and owner of Fitness Together, Gil Villarreal, will demonstrate exercises for stress reduction, balance, tone and flexibility for all age groups. Do you enjoy helping animals? Sign up for ZAP, the Zoo Ambassador Program at the Folsom Zoo! Work alongside zookeepers preparing meals, cleaning exhibits and preparing enrichment for the animals.
