Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?
In 2001, I became aware of the Rich Dad series of books when I was looking to expand my knowledge of finance, investing, business and sales. Six years later I was fortunate enough to come into contact with SalesPartners as a client, and knew instantly they would be a good fit for me. The corporate heads propositioned me to run the entire Northern California region and now I have the pleasure of working with some of the most fiscally savvy business gurus in the world.
What was your vision when you first started your business and what is it now?
My vision has always been in accordance with the SalesPartners mission, which is “to improve the quality of life for all through transformation of the marketplace.” More specifically, I would like to assist Northern California business owners in creating a more efficient corporate sphere in which business owners are not slaves to their business, helping employees enjoy their work environment and businesses remain open during these turbulent times.
What was your first job, and what did you learn from the experience?
I worked for my parents in their small retail gift and furniture store. There I learned responsibility. I took it upon myself to act as a business owner even though it was more than expected of me. I also learned how vital customer service is to the health of a business.
How are you involved with both the community and your customer?
I am very active within local young professional organizations and local Chambers (I hold leadership roles in many of them). I offer many free business building community events every month. I have been involved as a contest judge and business mentor with local high schools. I actively serve my customers throughout the Northern California region by meeting with them at their location and at the most convenient hours. And finally, I am part of an organization that is first and foremost committed to its mission (servicing the community) before adhering to our team or the individual.
Where do you go when the going gets tough?
When it comes to business, I try to forge ahead and take my problems head on. In my personal life, I often try to find something new and exciting to do. New challenges rejuvenate my excitement level and offer me small successes that I can carry with me back to work.
And finally, customer service is…?
Customer service is offering a results-guarantee on your service. It’s also giving the customer exactly what you’ve promised them, creating an expectation of excellence and providing it repeatedly. The goal for me is to create a happy customer who will recommend my services to everyone they know.
