Introducing...Almonte Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery

Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

I am in practice as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon that entails roughly 60 percent cosmetic, and 40 percent hand and reconstructive surgery.

What was your first job, and what did you learn from the experience?

I was a food server at Loma Linda University Medical Center cafeteria; this was during high school and I learned the value of earning my own money.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

I am involved in the community, specifically with breast cancer patients. I have given talks at several support group meetings.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

My staff is intelligent, dedicated and hardworking. They have excellent people skills and can problem-solve very smoothly.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

I’m the proud father of my daughters Katherine and Elizabeth, seven-year-old twins.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

Dr. Sherman Leis; he was my professor and mentor. I always admired his dedication and attention to detail. He was a pioneer in our field.

What’s your hidden talent?

I play the piano and am an amateur songwriter.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Wild Bill’s Cheesesteaks & Grill in Folsom.

If you could be any other profession what would it be?

A chef. Being a chef has many qualities similar to being a surgeon – you must know your stuff, have great attention to detail, enjoy sharp instruments and enjoy the finished product.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Old Sacramento and Folsom Lake.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

Building a tree house with my dad.

What’s your favorite local event that you go to?

The Serrano Family Festival, and chamber events.

And finally, customer service is…?

Listening to the client, understanding their needs, building their trust and confidence, and caring and delivering the highest quality service.
