Established in 1991, Best Solar Control Co. is a licensed contractor to sell and install all types of window treatments. This includes window film (sun control for heat, fade and glare reduction, safety/security and decorative), in addition to all types of window coverings: blinds, shades, shutters and exterior motorized shade screens.

Customer service! We are here before, during and most importantly after the sale to provide ongoing customer support, and we fully warrant all of our products.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Providing energy-efficient window coatings to reduce energy consumption and power bills! We have been supporting and addressing the new buzzwords “carbon footprint” and “going Green” long before it became trendy!

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

My mother – a fabulous, loving and most supportive person who always encouraged us to be all we could be! The sky’s the limit!

What’s your biggest job perk?

Helping multi-story buildings in Sacramento conserve energy. I feel we are truly making a dent in power consumption in these locations. Our notable projects are: 300 Capitol Mall and 925 L Street, for sun control and energy efficiency; and, locally at the Old Coloma Schoolhouse, protecting the valuable books and furnishings from the 1800s!

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We love Lake Tahoe – skiing in the winter, and biking, hiking and kayaking in the summer.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

Tina Turner – she’s an amazing woman.

What’s your favorite local event that you go to?

Wine Passport Weekend.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?

Camping at Shasta and Clear Lake with family and friends.

What’s your favorite local business other than your own?

Our lovely interior design store, Hillsdale Home, in El Dorado Hills.
