Dina and Michelle like food. To simply call them foodies is a bit of an understatement – they love the art and the culture of all things culinary. They like it so much that 10 years ago they joined a cooking club to share what they learned in the kitchen, as well as learn from their fellow club members. And to our delight, they’ve shared their experiences and tips in their second book, Cooking Club: Great Ideas and Delicious Recipes for Fabulous Get-Togethers. This book is not just a collection of great and interesting recipes; it is also a collection of advice on how to join, contribute to and create your own cooking club! You can get some of their views on cooking, eating and cooking clubs at their blog, Cooking Club Confidential found at cookingclubconfidential.wordpress.com.

Lowrey points out, “The book is really about entertaining. It is a guide about how to put on a dinner party.” Guillen sums it up, “Our goal is to inspire people to start their own cooking clubs! It is easy, really fun, and you learn about food and cooking…and people.”
