Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

ADKO Engineering is a CA corporation located in Folsom, specializing in providing professional engineering and construction services for local, state and federally-funded bridges, suspension bridges, Light Rail Transit structures, hydraulic structures, retaining structures, foundation structures, and other public works infrastructure facilities. ADKO Engineering has developed a reputation for excellence in planning, design and construction management throughout the state. We have a proven reputation for saving clients substantial amounts of money in the design, analysis and construction phases. Our goal of avoiding construction change orders and claims, while striving for the ultimate quality in innovative design, has enabled us to establish a notable reputation in the industry.

What was your first job, and what did you learn from the experience?

Making ice cream and enjoying the delicious benefits while doing so!

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We sponsor soccer and basketball teams in Folsom. We provide mobility to the public, community and Federal, State and local agencies.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

They are a tight knit group that is dedicated, honest, intelligent and loyal!

What’s your hidden talent?

I am like a boat keel, I can transfer sideward force into forward force.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Winning bridge design work, and having the flexibility to spend time with my family.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We enjoy River Park.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

President Ronald Reagan. He was an eloquent speaker.
If you could be in any other profession what would it be? Wood crafting.

And finally, customer service is…?

Customer service is treating everyone like a valued client and building a win-win relationship. Repeat business is essential, and the way to ensure this is by doing the job well, within budget, ahead of schedule, and by doing whatever it takes to keep my clients happy throughout the entire process.
