Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

It definitely found me! I was leafing through a magazine and saw one of the fabulous bracelets from last summer’s line and knew I wanted to be a part of lia sophia right then!

What was your first job, and what did you learn from the experience?

I worked in my mother’s art gallery in Carmichael. I learned how dynamic and creative women are, and how fulfilling owning your own business can be.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

Introducing lia sophia to our community has been exciting and fun. The women in this area are smart, warm, welcoming and have a great sense of style. My team and I are always having a great time – after all, our workday is a party!

Why is your staff the best in the business?

The women who have joined my team are a true inspiration. They are all talented, motivated, self-starters who know that the life they lead is up to them. Each of us enjoys the independence of owning our own business and, in this challenging economy, knowing that we can never be fired!

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

My two gorgeous daughters, of course!

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

Any woman who has walked away from an unfulfilling desk job to seek more for herself and her family. That kind of determination always impresses me!

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

On a long walk with a good girlfriend.

What’s your hidden talent?

At any given moment I can find a hundred things to be grateful for!

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

A picnic along the Auburn Ravine is the best table in town!

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

The many bike trails that run through our community.

What’s your favorite local event that you go to?

Any event put on by the Rocklin Chamber!
