Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Closet Tailors specializes in creating custom organization solutions for your home or office. We design and build amazing closets to maximize your storage space and/or showcase your clothing. We also offer fantastic storage products for the garage, laundry room, pantry, and home office, including Murphy wall beds that work well in combination office/guest rooms.

What was your vision when you first started your business, and what is it now?

In the beginning, our vision was to specialize in closets and steadily grow the business focusing on that specialty. Now, as a way to adapt and continue to grow in this tough economy, Closet Tailor’s vision is to diversify our product offering to service a broader range of customer needs. We offer overhead storage racks for the garage as an inexpensive alternative or addition to our garage cabinet line.

What is the best part of doing business in this community?

The best part of doing business in this community is that I actually live here. I run into past customers at the grocery store or at the gym, and I often hear how much they love the closet we designed and built for them.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

Running a business and working in Folsom where I live gives me a huge sense of pride. I am a member of the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, and I try to promote my fellow local businesses as often as I can, because I know they do the same for me. Closet Tailors has been a sponsor for the Rotary Club, and for a girl’s soccer team – the Cool Cats – playing in the Folsom Soccer Club.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my consistent progression of accomplishments: graduating college, home ownership, steadily moving up the corporate chain, strategic career moves, and now owning and operating my own business. I constantly strive to improve myself, and that includes improving my Closet Tailors business and the products and services that we offer.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

My parents and my brother are all role models for me. They taught me solid work ethics and competitiveness at an early age.

And finally, customer service is…?

Customer service is actually listening to the customer, then delivering a product that far exceeds their expectations. I am not satisfied unless my customer is happy and 100 percent satisfied.
