Lisa Crummett, marketing director for the Placerville Downtown Association, keeps Historic Main Street in the hearts and minds of the people, a task that she achieves by working with merchants to host events and activities in town.

“We highlight the diverse shops, restaurants and services offered in the historic downtown district of Placerville,” she shares. “We sometimes have some difficulty showcasing every merchant at every event, but we do our very best to have a wide variety of events that will benefit everyone. We have a great, hardworking group of merchants who really care about Historic Main Street,” adds Crummett.

There is always something going on in Placerville, and Crummett thrives on the action. “Placerville is truly a vibrant and thriving place that is the envy of other towns. There is a great sense of community pride for those who work, live or visit here.” And, she says, “What really makes Placerville special is the fantastic cooperation between businesses, organizations and government and the locals who live and work here.”

In her limited free time, Crummett and her husband, José, try to stay up to date with the lives of their kids – their son is a mechanical engineer, and daughter a junior at Cal State. “And, they are great kids!” she adds proudly.
