Introducing...The Solar Company

Jun 17, 2009 05:00PM ● By Wendy Sipple

Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

We are specialists in installing solar electricity on homes or businesses. We are a warm company that employs happy people. We take care of our customers, and we take care of our employees. I started in 1990, as a general contractor, and in 2004 began specializing in solar electricity.

What was your vision when you first started your business and what is it now?

To build a healthy business and to better our environment, while providing for my family.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

When we sell a job and gain a new customer, we feel as if we have gained a new friend. We educate our customers and we have been invited to educate at the middle school level. We host community events to educate our neighbors on how to help the environment and go green with solar. We are committed to customer satisfaction and offer personalized custom design for each customer.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

Because all levels of our staff have been educated by the best in the industry, SunPower University (NABCEP certification).

What is the best thing about being the boss?

It’s great to meet so many great customers and make choices that help people in their lives by both providing good jobs to our employees and by helping people feel good about going solar.

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

Our family –  we’ve been happily married for 18 years and have two healthy and happy teenagers.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

Get some fresh air, go for walk on my ranch or do some gardening.

And finally, customer service is…?

The customer is always right: Customers are first. Each of our solar systems are custom designed for each individual's lifestyle or business need. We offer turnkey services and take care of all rebate paperwork, permits and interconnection. We warranty all of our work for 10 years.
