The Fountains at Roseville will host a Wednesday and Saturday night concert series, and a Friday night entertainment series this June. Look for new bands and events every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. For a list of bands and concert times, visit thefountainsatroseville.com.

On June 13, the Fountains Kids Club will honor Dad with Father’s Day crafts for the first 100 children, and magic from Mimo the Clown from 10 a.m. to noon. For more information, visit thefountainsatroseville.com.

The High Hand Nursery in Loomis presents a weekend lecture series featuring Dan Hinkley, plantsman, author, horticulturist and nurseryman. Lectures are scheduled for June 13 at 1 p.m., and June 14 at 11 a.m. For more information, visit highhand.com.

Roseville Parks and Recreation has joined with American Bone Health to offer a free “Faces of Osteoporosis” seminar on June 9, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Maidu Community Center. Space is limited. To register, call 916-774-5960.

The Jan Tuller Foundation will host a Performing Arts Workshop on June 27, to help raise funds for the Foundation’s scholarships. A Summer Theatre Arts Workshop will take place at the EV Cain Middle School in Auburn from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information or to register, visit auburntheatre.org.

Roseville Transit is getting a face lift. Through the summer months new clean diesel buses will appear with an updated design. Only funds designated for transit capital purchases were used and no City of Roseville General Fund money was used for the new fleet improvements. Congratulations to Mark Davis for receiving the Joyce Raley Teel Award at the Kids-First Luncheon. Davis is a general contractor and president of Sierra View General Contractors in Granite Bay. The award is given to individuals and their companies for their dedication to enriching the lives of children, preventing child abuse, and enhancing the community.

On April 5, the 2009 Niello Volkswagen Ranch Run qualified for the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest VW caravan. Approximately 470 Volkswagen’s formed a line almost 5 miles long. The run also helped raise over $22,000 for the Ride to Walk Foundation.

Congratulations to Halldin Public Relations in Roseville for winning five CAPPIE Awards hosted by the Sacramento Public Relations Association. The CAPPIE Awards honor the best PR work in the region.
