Snooty Frog

Every so often, a restaurant comes along that offers more than just good food. Snooty Frog in Cameron Park is one of those places. For anyone who has lived in the area for any amount of time, you’ve undoubtedly heard of this Cameron Park favorite, and if you’ve never been, now’s the time to go.

Owners John and Michelle offer a lively full bar (perfect for after work drinks), beautiful tables for a romantic night for two, and accommodations for large parties. My guest and I opted for a romantic night for two, and the setting coupled with excellent service and great food made our night complete.

We selected the Spinach Artichoke Dip with red onion, Parmesan cheese and fresh chips for our appetizer. The dip was excellent with a warm combination of flavors, but the perfectly crisp, fresh chips definitely stole the show. Who knew chips could be such a treat?

My guest chose the Apple Pork for his entree. He enjoyed the balance of sweet and savory and said that the pork was cooked to perfection. I went with their special for the day: Filet Oskar. The crab-stuffed filet was a healthy portion with a delicious sweet sauce, and was well worth the price.

The good news is that our entrees were so delicious we devoured them without saving room for dessert. The bad news is  that we didn’t save room for any of their tempting desserts. Luckily, Snooty Frog will be one hoppin’ place for years to come, and we’ll be back.
