Life Is Beautiful
This Italian language film directed by Roberto Benigni (won a Best Actor Oscar for his performance in the movie) tells the story of a Jewish Italian man who, using only his imagination, helps protect his young son from the horrors of the Holocaust. Creative and heartfelt, this landmark film still triumphs.

The Boy In Striped Pajamas
One of the most poignant films to come along in recent years, The Boy In Striped Pajamas has a lot to say about humanity and the effects of our actions. Compassionately directed, this staggeringly good film, despite its absolutely heartbreaking subject matter, manages to be hopeful in the face of tragedy.
