Then & Now

Feb 28, 2009 04:00PM ● By Super Admin

THEN:
Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea, PJ Harvey
PJ Harvey reinvents herself with every album, and 2000’s Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea is no exception. There’s no mistaking her powerful voice, but her storytelling comes to the fore more than ever. Fans and non-fans alike should especially treasure the duet with Radiohead’s Thom Yorke on “The Mess We’re In.”

NOW:
Middle Cyclone, Neko Case
Neko Case returns with this follow-up to her popular 2006 album, Fox Confessor Brings the Flood. And by her pose on the cover you can tell that she means business. Part country, part rock, part folk – all you really need to know is that her voice comes from the heavens.
