Eco-Friendly Territory

Like you, Style loves tradition (that means you, Thanksgiving!), but we also feel the need to act responsibly in all areas of life so that there are holidays to celebrate for generations. And sometimes, this means bucking a few trends. So this year, why not cook up an eco-friendly Thanksgiving? Plan a natural feast (oh-so-pilgrim), which includes freshly produced organic fruits and veggies, as well as a free-range turkey; purchase store products with environmentally friendly packaging; conserve energy by not only cooking less food, but also fresh foods that take less time on the stove; recycle tabletop décor and donate discarded turkey fat to a local organization to be converted into alternative fuel. Visit Noah’s Ark Natural Foods in Placerville for your holiday preparation.
