Carl Hagen has lived in El Dorado County for the past 30 years, and since December 2007, he has been serving as Mayor of the fine City of Placerville. So it seems that if anyone knows about the area, it’s him! And, if anyone knows the people, it’s him too; he’s proud to say that he has “had the pleasure of serving clients in the Placerville area since 1979,” through his Farmers Insurance Agency. He has also volunteered his time and participated as a board member for numerous nonprofit organizations including New Morning Youth & Family Services, M.O.R.E., Kiwanis Club of Placerville, El Dorado County Foundation and Marshall Hospital Community Advisory. When he’s not serving others, he enjoys spending free time with his wife, Pamela, and three daughters, Carrie, Molly and Megan; he also keeps busy with three grandchildren. When asked what he hopes to accomplish as Mayor, Hagen says, “to continue keeping the City running smoothly and to instill a sense of friendly service in our citizens.”
