Gold Note 2007 – Reserve Chardonnay

The heat we are experiencing requires a nice chilled glass of white wine to relax with. Gold Note 2007 Reserve Chardonnay is just the right wine to sip on during a hot summer day. Some California Chardonnays just don’t serve as a cool-down drink (they are intended to be food wines), but the Gold Note Chardonnay refreshes with hints of tropical fruits, pineapple and honeysuckle. Very little oak and non-maloactic fermentation allow this wine to show its crisp fruity side in an invigorating dry fashion, while still paring well with foods such as grilled fish, lemon chicken or spicy Thai foods. Winemaker Kevin Foley is a trendsetter with his very lightly-oaked Chardonnay and screw top cap. This packaging allows for convenience and the ability to drop the wine in a cooler without worrying about the cork slipping out into the ice. Be sure to get a couple of bottles because it is certain to be a hit at the next BBQ!
