Fun fact about your company: My wife and I started MJ Pools & Spas in the Bay Area over 40 years ago. We moved here in the early ’90s and have been working hard in Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado counties ever since. We currently have three generations of family working together to make homeowners’ backyard dreams come true.
Customer service is: Going above and beyond. Our goal is to make sure we’re accessible to clients with answers and assistance whenever it’s needed.
Most memorable experience as an entrepreneur: Digging a swimming pool for Joe Montana in the Bay Area. As a longtime Niner fan, it was a highlight!
You started your business, because: I wanted to work for myself and provide customers with a quality product I can confidently stand behind.
Favorite food: Mexican…always!
Favorite local restaurant: Mexquite—they have wonderful food and great servers.
Last big purchase: A car for my wife who works hard keeping everything running in the office.
When not working, you can be found: At the RC airfield flying airplanes.
