What you enjoy most about your profession: Curating beautiful, classic, and timeless collections to use in people’s homes season after season. Everything I source varies in pricing, but I typically stock more affordable products, because I believe good design shouldn’t break the bank.

Fun fact about your company: I’ve done interior design for years on private projects and custom homes, which drove me to create Monarch D. H.—a place where affordable home décor pieces are attainable and timeless. I’m lucky to be able to pursue my dreams with Monarch while also going through nursing school.

Most memorable experience as an entrepreneur: Being absolutely humbled by building a website and “trying” to optimize the SEO on my own. Also, I love getting pictures from customers showcasing how they style the products they received in their home. It’s cool to see them make it their own.

First job: A server at Bobby McGee’s, which, at the time, was a well-known sports bar where all the pro athletes went. It’s also where I met my husband!

Favorite food: Chips and salsa.

Favorite local restaurant: Mikuni.

Last big purchase: Starting my business and nursing school!

Favorite small business: Kinetic Threads! Faun is fantastic at customizing any gear you can think of. I also Really love MTT Collective in the Palladio. They have so many cute things.

When not working, you can be found: Coaching cheer and hanging out with friends and family.

You love living here, because: It’s small but not too small and is gorgeous. The outdoor activities are endless. We love riding bikes around town and boating on the lake.
