T-Crepes  //  Running errands and getting groceries just got a lot more exciting with the opening of T-Crepes—an eatery sited in the Safeway shopping center that’s revolutionizing mealtime. My new routine consists of picking up my essentials then rewarding myself by stopping in for a sweet, delicate and tasty, Japanese-style crepe. On my first trip, I was greeted with a clean, bright interior—thanks to sparkling tables, baby blue walls and wood accents—and a smiling face at the register. Their menu is simple; pick between a build-your-own sweet crepe or a prefixed savory one. I settled on a classic—Strawberries, Bananas and Nutella, along with a Fresh Strawberry Tea (various boba teas and blended beverages are also available). It was presented to me like an ice cream cone, with multiple layers of thin crepe-y goodness laced with my fruits of choice and smothered in Nutella. Although I didn’t order anything savory, I sure savored every bite while sipping my just-sweet-enough tea. Next time I’ll spice it up with a scoop of ice cream (from Sacramento favorite Gunther’s) or smoked salmon; or maybe venture to the snack side of their menu, which features fried delights like popcorn chicken, egg rolls and sweet potato fries. Whatever you fancy, your taste buds are in for a treat. T-Crepes, 1870 Prairie City Road, Suite 300, Folsom. 916-597-2787, t-crepes.com.
