Foodie Find: Wild Bill’s Cheesesteaks & Grill in Cameron Park

Wild Bill’s Cheesesteaks & Grill has been pleasing palates for some time with their authentic Philly-style cheesesteaks in Folsom, and now they can be enjoyed in Cameron Park. Score! Opening this past July, Wild Bill’s serves up a dozen or so tantalizing takes on this classic sandwich—complete with hot sauce, au jus, marinara, spinach and mushrooms, and even a completely vegetarian version. An avid sports fan, Wild Bill even named a few after his favorite NFL players—think “The Walter” and “The Joe.” But it’s their classic—the Original Philly—that remains the cheesesteak champion. Grilled ribeye, lean and tender and spiced just right, is cooked with grilled onions (if you like) before being piled into an Amoroso roll imported from Philly, then smothered in your cheese of choice. I opted for provolone but there’s also Cheese Wiz, American or pepper jack. Head over to the self-serve pepper bar if you like it hot, and don’t miss out on their tempting sides: tater tots, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, jalapeño poppers and homemade chips. For those who fancy fries, they offer plenty of options, from steak and garlic to chili cheese or seasoned curly. Wild Bill’s is sure to crush any craving.
