Ever thought of fusing your favorite cheesy-meets-saucy guilty pleasure with the rich, spicy tang of the Indian subcontinent? Well, Chicago’s Pizza With A Twist has successfully done so (hence, the twist), and the results are truly mouthwatering. With a menu full of unique pizzas, such as Tikka Masala Veggie and Tandoor Paneer, and classics like Hawaiian and Combination, the eatery’s palatable selections are as diverse as each offering’s flavors. Coming from Indian roots myself, I was hungry to try the Butter Chicken Pizza, as the mildly spiced chicken sautéed in flavorsome creamy curry is one of my most-loved dishes. Zesty aromas wafted up to my nose before I even saw the waiter approach to deliver the colorful concoction. The butter chicken—sitting atop a fluffy, crisp crust—was accompanied by a velvety butter sauce as a base and sprinkled liberally with melty cheese, red onions, chopped garlic, sharp ginger, fresh cilantro and a dusting of green chili.
