“The Shrimp Burrito at Freshmex Express Mexican Grill is the size of a newborn baby and stuffed with whatever your appetite desires (cheese, beans, rice, salsa, etc.). It’s lunch and dinner, and worth every penny.”

“Lotus 8’s Lunch Special (my favorite is their Broccoli Beef) runs about $8 and their portions are enormous. I always get at least two meals whenever I swing through for lunch, or should I say lunch, afternoon snack and dinner!”

“All-You-Can Eat Wednesdays at Strings Italian Café in Folsom only costs $8.99 and includes unlimited pasta (with your choice of sauce), salad and garlic bread. Whether you’re trying to feed growing kids on a budget, carbing up for a marathon, or simply need a filling—and fulfilling—meal out, this is my family’s favorite spot.”

“The Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl at Hasu Teriyaki and Sushi is über affordable, (somewhat) healthy and super satisfying. The chicken is always moist and—paired with the sticky rice, broccoli and sweet-flavorful sauce—makes for a perfect mid-day meal.” 916-983-7777

“If you’re looking for good, satiating food on a budget, Sunny Garden Restaurant’s Lunch Special is the best ticket in town. It includes your choice of protein—my favorite is the Sweet and Sour Pork—plus fried rice, steamed rice or chow mein, an egg roll or crab cheese wonton, and their soup of the day…all for under $9.”
