Catch All: TAP Folsom

Jun 28, 2016 04:48PM ● By David Norby

Here’s a tip about TAP: If you want to be there on August 5, get a ticket now. TAP Folsom is only in its third year, but this event sells out well ahead of time. “TAP Folsom sells out because it’s the start of a perfect Friday night in Historic Folsom,” says Mary Ann McAlea, senior vice president for the Folsom Chamber. “Guests can stay after the brew fest and visit some of their favorite local restaurants or night scenes. This year, we are adding more breweries to the venue to keep wait times short and give guests a chance to check out some of the new, popular choices.” A variety of food trucks like Bacon Mania and Krush Burger are sure to help soak up the brew; there will also be live music from Take Out, Sacramento’s favorite pop cover band; and pre-events at local establishments will help showcase the restaurants that serve craft beer favorites every day. As for the chosen winners among the 25-plus breweries on tap? “Favorites change quickly, as the craft beer scene continues to grow,” says McAlea. “In last year’s lineup, Deschutes Brewery, Knee Deep Brewery, St Archer and 21st Amendment were all hot spots, as well as our local favorites, Lockdown and Mraz.” For more info, visit tapfolsom.com
