The Mature Leadership Counsel of Cameron Park is sponsoring a Fall Speaker Series at the Fifty+ Room located in the Cameron Park Community Center, 2502 Country Club Dr. 

September 17 at 10 a.m. will kick-off the series with a discussion on how not to be taken by scams and fraud by Detective Simon Brown of the El Dorado County Sheriff’s.

Detective Brown will detail the various scams and frauds that target seniors and how to avoid being taken in. Detective Brown is assigned to investigate financial crimes and elder abuse. 

Representatives of You Are Not Alone (YANA) will also be present and address what this program has to offer seniors.
