The Transportation Division of the County of El Dorado’s Community Development Agency will be performing work on Sawmill Road, between Incline Road to the US Highway 50/State Route 89/Emerald Bay Road and Sawmill Road intersection, beginning on June 29 and ending on Aug. 21. 

Motorists will need to use Lake Tahoe Boulevard to access the western section of Sawmill Road in lieu of US Highway 50/State Route 89/Emerald Bay Road during this closure period. Sawmill Road is located in the Tahoe Basin near the Lake Tahoe Golf Course.

The closure is necessary to complete a 1.2 mile, Class 1 bicycle and multi-use path connecting to the existing bicycle path at the intersection of Sawmill Road and US Highway 50/State Route 89/Emerald Bay Road.
