According to recent reports by the Sacramento Business Journal and Roseville & Rocklin Today, the new Bass Pro Shops, which will be located at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Sierra College Boulevard, has begun the hiring process.

RocklinToday.com reported a job fair will be held on Monday, June 15, through Wednesday, June 17, at the Sierra College cafeteria, 5000 Rocklin Road. The fair takes place between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. each day. Candidates must be 18 years or older. Both full- and part-time positions are available, including fishing, camping, hunting, archery, footwear, apparel/gifts, marine accessories, receiving, and customer service. Bass Pro Shops also will be employing cashiers, greeters, stockers, marine technicians, boat riggers, boat detailers and boat sales consultants.

Associate benefits provided include excellent wage potential, flexible morning and evening schedules, holiday and vacation pay, and generous associate discounts at Bass Pro Shops. Health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance programs are available for eligible associates, including a 401k.

The 100,350-square-foot store will be a primary anchor for the 500,000-square-foot mixed-use Rocklin Crossings development. It's set to open late-summer or early-fall 2015. Approximately 75 to 80 workers are on the site daily, according to the company's official website. That number continues to grow as more trades are brought into the building process.

The Missouri-based retailer plans to hire between 200 and 250 people for its Rocklin store, according to the Sacramento Business Journal.

Bass Pro Shops sells products related to outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, boating and camping. This will be its its fourth California location.

"A special Evening for Conservation that is free and open to the public will take place the night before the official grand opening," RocklinToday's release stated. "This event demonstrates Bass Pro Shops dedication to conservation and highlights exhibits from local conservation groups.  For every dollar spent during the Evening for Conservation, 50 cents will be donated to a designated group.  In addition, the event will feature celebrities, entertainment and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.  Information regarding that event will be available at a later date."
