Green Valley Road in Placerville to Completely Close for Six Weeks

May 27, 2015 10:19AM ● By Steven Jack

The Transportation Division of El Dorado County’s Community Development Agency will close Green Valley Road in Placerville from Lode Road to El Dorado Road beginning Monday, June 1, and continuing for approximately 6 weeks, 24 hours per day, until reopening on Monday, July 13.

This closure is necessary to ensure motorist and worker safety while the County’s contractor continues construction on a new bridge over Weber Creek as well as new retaining walls at the approaching roadway. This closure will provide enhanced safety to the public during this phase of the construction. Access will be provided for residents and property owners within the closure limits.

Motorists are advised to use U.S. 50 to Missouri Flat Road or Placerville Drive as alternate routes. Detours around the road closure will be clearly posted and in effect for the duration of the closure.

For questions regarding this road closure, please contact the Transportation main line at (530) 621-5900.
