Kelli Girsch, the founder of Hello! Bliss Box, got the idea for her business on a simple trip to the mall. Today, the Lincoln mom cherishes the joy of being able to run her own business at home with the help of her family.

Girsch recently took some time to answers a few questions from Style Magazine about how she got started and her day-to-day life.

Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

The idea for Hello! Bliss Box came to me as I was at the mall one day. How is it possible I come to find something for myself (a shirt or something pretty) yet leave with something for my kids every time? I decided I needed a special treat that’s just for me—a gift package at my doorstep sure would be blissful!

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We are heavy into social media, and I love getting my customer’s feedback on a product we are thinking of featuring in upcoming Bliss Boxes. I enjoy letting them vote on the color or scent we put in the boxes. After all, their bliss is important to me and I want them to be happy every month.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

My staff is my family. It doesn’t get much better than that. My husband helps package and ship, my kids get to test out new products with me, and my two-year-old really enjoys spreading our tissue and Bliss Box filler all over the room (now that’s an important job!).

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

I throw my earbuds on, blast the music and go for a long run. Surprisingly, I feel much better when I return—almost rejuvenated.

What’s your biggest job perk?

Aside from being able to run Hello! Bliss Box at home with my kids, I get to seek out so many wonderful product lines and meet the masterminds behind them. Many of our items are handmade by talented moms.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

We enjoy doing family bowling nights at Strikes in Rocklin. It’s great bonding time.

And finally, customer service is…?

Number one. It will make or break your reputation—plus, when Mama’s happy, everyone’s happy!
