It seems an offer to play for the Crimson Tide will have Folsom High School's Jonah Williams heading South.

The standout offensive tackle has made a verbal commitment to play for the University of Alabama, and may even enroll early, according to a report on AL.com. Williams announced on his Twitter page Saturday that he plans to begin at Alabama in January 2016.

Williams had been recruited by several top college football programs across the country, including Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss the University of Georgia, UCLA, USC and Oregon.
However, he said last month he was drawn to the south because he spent most of his life in Georgia.

"I grew up in Atlanta, so 'Bama was always in the forefront of my mind," Williams told AL.com.

Williams is the 10th ranked offensive tackle in the nation and is ranked as California’s No. 11 prospect overall. He is likely to be one of several Folsom Bulldogs to land at Division 1 college football programs.

The Folsom High Bulldogs were recently ranked in the top 50 teams in the country by MaxPreps after going 16-0 last season and winning the California State Championship.
