Thieves Breaking into Folsom Homes: Police

Break-ins

Folsom Police are investigating two incidents of residential burglary that occurred during the day March 30. In the first case, a home in the 900 block of Bidwell St. was entered sometime before 1 p.m. through a window. Nothing was taken, but the window was damaged, police said. About three miles away, sometime before 5:40 p.m. a home in the 100 block of Kershaw Court also was entered through a window. In this case, several items were taken, police said.

In yet another case, a home in the 300 block of Brightstone Circle was broken into sometime before 5:25 p.m. March 24, according to a Folsom Police report. Police said the unknown offender entered through an unlocked rear-sliding door. The home was ransacked and items taken include jewelry, cash and electronics, police said.

Assault

Nicholas Leonardo, 26, of Folsom, was arrested for assault and battery at about 11:10 a.m. March 30 at East Bidwell and Riley streets, according to a Folsom Police report. He was taken to the Sacramento County Jail. Leonardo was arrested just three days before on East Bidwell Street for public intoxication, police said.

Vehicles stolen

Folsom Police are investigating a Ford Escape that was stolen from the 800 block of Nature Way sometime before 8:35 a.m. March 30. Two days before, a Honda Passport was stolen from the 200 block of Iron Point Road and a Toyota truck was stolen from the 200 block of Natoma Station Drive, police said.

Grafitti 

Someone spray painted profanities on a home and lawn in the 100 block of Mystic Hills Place sometime before 6:50 p.m. March 28, according to a Folsom Police report. There are no suspects in the case, police said. 

Stolen bike

A resident in the 2300 block of Iron Point Road reported a bike stolen sometime before midnight March 29, according to Folsom Police.

Flat screen stolen

Someone entered a home under construction sometime before 2:45 p.m. March 25 in the 400 block of Toburry Way and stole a flat screen television, according to Folsom Police. There are no suspects in the case.
