New Fast Food Chicken Restaurant to Take Former KFC Spot in Folsom: Report

If you miss getting chicken from the former KFC location at 654 East Bidwell St. in Folsom, reports are chicken will be on the menu of the eatery taking its place.
According to a report in the Sacramento Business Journal, El Pollo Loco has submitted a design review application with the city of Folsom, which has been approved. Building permits have yet to be approved, however, the Business Journal reported.
El Pollo Loco operates 400 restaurants throughout the Southwest and was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles. The chain operates four other suburban Sacramento locations in Citrus Heights, Roseville, Rancho Cordova and Elk Grove.
The KFC location closed in February.
