Tips from alert citizens have helped the Rocklin Police capture several suspects in a recent crime spree.

From the evening of Feb. 28 to the early morning of March 1 Rocklin Police officers responded to 22 separate incidents that occurred across the city. The crimes included residential burglary, vandalism, vehicle theft and a weapons charge, police said.

After a news release asking for the public’s help in identifying possible suspects, several residents responded with tips. Four suspects were identified based on those tips, police said.

At about 10:30 a.m. March 2 detectives were able to track down the location of the suspects.

While one detective made contact with a female juvenile in Rocklin, several officers arrested Tyler Robert Barber, 19, of Rocklin, in Roseville. Later that day, a male juvenile also was arrested, police said.

At about 2:50 p.m. March 5, detectives located and arrested the fourth suspect Devin Alan Davis, 19, at his home in Rocklin.

“I could not be more pleased with the performance of our officers investigating this case and the wonderful Rocklin residents who called in with tips that lead to the capture of these felons,” said Rocklin Police Chief Ron Lawrence. “Our officers responded swiftly to investigate this senseless crime spree and thanks to their hard work and our involved community members, we have brought these suspects to justice."

Though the arrests have been made, Rocklin police are still asking the public’s assistance regarding these crimes. Those with information are asked to call 916-625-5439.
