Get your calendars out! Roseville Utilitly Exploration Center has lots to do in March!

Repurposeful Knitting Nights

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., starts Tuesday, March 10, Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd.

Learn to knit using repurposed materials like t-shirts and plastic bags. Learn the basics of knitting and creating “yarn” the first night, then continue your project two evenings at the Whole Foods Market Tap Room in Roseville. Ages 16 and up. $15 Roseville residents, $20 non-residents. For more information or to register, call 916-746-1550.

Free Preschool Program

10 a.m. – noon, Thursday, March 12, Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd.

Inspire your child to be a future Planet Protector! Drop in for free hands-on crafts, fun and discovery. Created specifically with preschoolers in mind, this program offers engaging and age appropriate activities introducing ways to care for our environment. For more information call 916-746-1550.

Homeschool Program: Waste Reduction

1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd.

Join them for a curriculum-based program where students explore conservation choices and hands-on experiments involving waste reduction. Ages 6-12. $4.25 per child. For more information or to register, call 916-746-1550.

Gardening Workshops: Choosing UC Arboretum All-Star Plants

8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, March 14, Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd.

Gardening workshops at the Utility Exploration Center will focus on composting and choosing plants that will provide years of beauty, even in our hot climate. Join us for two classes: Beginning Composting (8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.) and UC Arboretum All-Star Plants (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.). Each class $6 Roseville residents, $8 non-residents. Fix-a-Leak Week

10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 17 through Saturday, March 21, Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd.

Don’t be a drip, drop by and detect your water sense! Leaks can waste more than one trillion gallons of water annually worldwide. Learn how to track down leaks while testing your water wisdom. Free for all ages. For more information call 916-746-1550.
