Describe your business.

I created a barre workout called Barre Lately, which is a combo of yoga, Pilates and dance-inspired strength movements. My program is catered to established health clubs and private studios, in order to bring a consistent and effective barre workout to their schedules. I travel to some great places to train and certify amazing instructors. My goal is to make this effective exercise accessible to all by private and small-group sessions, as well as train online with my YouTube channel. I started writing the lifestyle blog Living Lately to encourage others to lead their most vibrant life and look fantastic doing it!

What life accomplishments are you most proud of?

I feel my biggest accomplishment is being a mom and wife—without my baby and husband I wouldn’t be anything. Another fun accomplishment was being a cheerleader for the NFL for three seasons; I loved representing the San Diego community for the Chargers. Most people don’t know that every girl must earn their spot each year from over 400 hopefuls! I still choreograph for the team, too.

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

To the bath or my yoga mat.

What’s your biggest job perk?

I love getting to know people—working with them on their health goals while learning about what makes them tick is fascinating to me. I like that I can stay healthy and encourage others to do the same in a way that fits their lifestyle.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

I love The Kitchen. I’ve lived all over California and there’s no place like it!

What’s your opinion of Style Magazine?

Having just moved back to the area, I love grabbing the current issue of Style Magazine to discover all that is happening in town. I usually go straight to the Calendar and check out all the fun events. I also love that I can rely on it to find out about new businesses in the area.

Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements.
