Sugarloaf Stampede registration now open! On Saturday, April 18, the El Dorado County Office of Education (EDCOE) will host the annual Sugarloaf Stampede 5K/10K/10Mile race benefiting the Sugarloaf Station Foundation – a nonprofit organization that grants partial scholarships to students who attend the Sugarloaf Fine Arts Camp during the summer.

Beginning and ending at Schnell School in Placerville, enjoy a part-paved, part-dirt, out and back course along the El Dorado Trail. Finish the day with music, food, raffle prizes and awards ceremony. To register or donate, visit the Sugarloaf Stampede registration page under the Spotlight section at www.edcoe.org or http://bit.ly/1uWZkY9

For more than 50 years, Sugarloaf Fine Arts Camp has brought a unique camp experience to the students of El Dorado County. Campers in grades five through eleven spend a week expanding their fine arts skills and experimenting with new ones at the beautiful Sly Park Environmental Education Center in Pollock Pines.

“This annual event helps the Sugarloaf Station Foundation continue to provide engaging learning experiences and lifelong memories for students in El Dorado County. I encourage everyone in our community to join us in enhancing the lives of our children,” Superintendent of Schools Jeremy M. Meyers said.

Register by March 31, to guarantee a shirt, and save $5 when you register before race day! Early registration - $40 for adults and $35 for youth (14 and under). This run/walk is rain or shine and professionally chipped. For more information, visit the Sugarloaf Stampede registration page under the Spotlight section at www.edcoe.org or http://bit.ly/1uWZkY9
