Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

My day spa business offers individual and couples massages as well as anti-aging, acne and European facials, waxing, microdermabrasion, peels and permanent makeup in a very relaxing and comfortable setting. This business definitely found me. After taking a massage therapy course in 1999 for the “fun of it,” I realized how much I love the industry. It grew into a passion, and in 2002, I eventually opened my own day spa in Rocklin.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We have donated our services to many school organizations and charity events in the local area; we enjoy giving back to the community since they have been so generous in supporting our business for the last several years. I am always looking for superior products or better ways to deliver our esthetic services in order to give clients the best results for their skin care concerns. Also, I stay current with continued education so that I can maintain high standards in the skin care and permanent makeup fields.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

We are proud to have been awarded the “Best of the Best for Skin Care” in 2011 and the “Best of the Best for Massage” in 2009 by the Placer Herald and our loyal customers. We strive to keep our clients happy by going the extra mile, and by doing so we have numerous repeat customers and receive many referrals.

Who is your role model in business or in life, and why?

My mother and father – they always taught me to be kind and honest, to treat everyone with respect, and to maintain a high work ethic.

And finally, customer service is…?

Treating each client like a true friend or family member. It is what I love most about my business – the relationships that I build with each client and exceeding their expectations.
