The Falcon’s Eye Theatre is calling for students and/or actors from the community to audition for its production of Carlo Gozzi’s classic fairytale, The King Stag. Auditions will be held on February 13 in the Drama Lab (PAC-1170) at the Three Stages Performing Arts Center from 6:30-10 p.m.

California had one of the biggest losses of government workers in the last five years, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data. California has lost approximately 47,800 government jobs since 2006. In comparison, government employment, which includes federal, state and local agencies, has actually increased in 30 states and the District of Columbia. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 791 people in California died in driving-while-intoxicated crashes last year, down from 950 the year before. While the annual count of DUI deaths increased from 1998 to 2005, the count has steadily decreased since then. The CA

The After Five Club, a free support group for those providing care to individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia or other related chronic health conditions, will meet on February 8 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Senior Day Care Center in Placerville.
