Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

My business is making order out of chaos, and after moving 21 times, I certainly understand the anxiety that the moving process brings. Being able to relieve some my client’s stress by presenting a move-in ready home, having the home sell quickly and helping the client move into their new home, brings me immense gratification. Our services include real estate staging – utilizing our exclusive “action planner” report; one-day makeovers that we call “use what you’ve got” design; home editing in advance of a move; and the new home move-in planning and execution. We often work hand in hand with the homeowners’ moving company and follow them once the initial furnishing set-up has been done. Our clients tell us that we can accomplish in two days what it would have taken them two weeks to do. We also offer home downsizing, home combining, a large referral network and a shopping service with appropriate designer discounts.

My business found me! After 13 years of owning a busy bed and breakfast, I had lots of practice in creating inviting, calm and serene rooms. I was actually practicing staging long before it became a recognized/licensed business.

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

Finishing Touch is a member of both EDCAR (El Dorado County Association of Realtors) and the El Dorado chapter of Women’s Council of Realtors. I also maintain my license as an Accredited Staging Professional® (ASP®), and am a member of the International Association of Home Staging Professionals. We are involved with the client from the first introduction to the successful end product. Many of our clients employ us for several services, from the start of the sales process to the end when moving into their new home. Having a referral from a satisfied client is how we grow our business.

And finally, customer service is…?

What our company is based upon – having a client so satisfied with our services that they refer us to their friends and use us for their next move.

Do you know that our editorial is not paid for, nor can it be purchased? In fact, our Introducing and Dine reviews are not paid advertisements. If you’d like your business profiled, please email Wendy Sipple at [email protected]. Once we determine when your business will be featured, we will contact you to schedule a time to come out and take a photograph. Thank you!
