Describe your business. Did you find it, or did it find you?

Bowen found us! Mike suffered from extreme sciatica pain, but because of Bowen, he no longer has this issue. The original Bowen Technique was developed in Australia by Tom Bowen and is a series of gentle, rolling “moves” over specific areas of the body. It reignites our body’s own healing mechanism; generally three to five sessions are all that is needed. It helps with back pain, TMJ, migraines, frozen shoulder, digestive issues, hip issues, asthma, bedwetting, plantar fasciitis, scoliosis and so much more! It’s safe, gentle, long lasting and affordable…very different from what we are used to here in the U.S.!

How are you involved with both the community and your customer?

We are deeply involved with the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce (past president and committee chairs). Also, Mike is Santa for the Chamber’s “Christmas in the Village” program! We are active members of the Citrus Heights Chamber and have been voted “Best of Citrus Heights” two years in a row.

Why is your staff the best in the business?

We are very knowledgeable, thorough and giving. In addition, we’ve completed all courses including advanced Bowen with the Bowen Academy of Australia – closest institution to the source, Tom Bowen. Remember: Not ALL Bowen practitioners are created equal!

Where do you go when the going gets tough?

Home. We are homebodies! We huddle up with a fire and our three cats and read or watch a good movie. Or we’ll putts around in the garden and listen to music.

What’s your hidden talent?

Mike is a fly fisherman and Kathy plays the drums.

What’s your favorite place to eat out locally?

Mexquite Mexican Cuisine & Tequila Lounge.

Where do you and your family go locally to have fun?

Mike likes to go fishing on the American River and I like going to the gym or the Fair Oaks Village to hang out.

And finally, customer service is…?

Leaving them satisfied and wanting more!
